08 Ya verán por sí mismos en el futuro Carta ampliada 25-5-1947 A los devotos: ¡Querido! He recibido tu carta. Ella resuena con olas de devoción y amor. Para la gente común es imposible comprender las acciones de los Jnanis (sabios), Yogis, Jogis (sanyasis) y Bhogis (ricos). Es difícil entender sus corazones. La gente piensa acerca de ellos de acuerdo a los respectivos estilos de cada uno, y habla de ellos de acuerdo a lo mismo. No tenemos que preocuparnos por lo que los demás digan de nosotros, en tanto se mantengan intactas nuestra perseverancia, determinación, buena conducta y sabiduría. El árbol lleno de frutas es el que recibe las pedradas, como se suele decir. De la misma manera, dondequiera que haya bien, habrá mal; y dondequiera que haya mal, además habrá bien. No hay mundo que carezca de este aspecto. La ignorancia es lo que arroja a la gente a la maldición de krodha (ardiente ira), moha (lujuria) y mada andhakara (la oscuridad de la arrogancia). La gente escribe acerca de cosas que no conoce; escriben por celos. Los sabios nunca hablarían de esa manera. No es bueno para nosotros que nos guiemos por las palabras de la gente ignorante. Sathya saldrá siempre victorioso; la falsedad nunca triunfará. Aunque la falsedad disfrute de un éxito temporario, éste se evaporará con el florecimiento de la verdad. No es bueno para los mahatmas (almas elevadas) regocijarse cuando son elogiados, ni deprimirse cuando son criticados. En ninguna parte ha sido prescripto qué clase de disciplina o código de conducta deben seguir los mahatmas. Lo más importante de todo es satpravarthana (conducta correcta) y sadbuddhi (buen intelecto). Los mahatmas nunca se regocijan cuando se les elogia, ni se sienten abatidos cuando son ignorados. Pero hay yoguis que disfrutan del vino de palma, del opio, del bhung (bebida embriagante preparada con la planta de marihuana) y del aguardiente. Y comen carne hasta hartarse, hasta que no cabe más nada en sus estómagos. Predicando que no hay muerte para el jeeva, estos así llamados grandes, les cortan el cuello a animales inocentes. Totalmente embriagados, declaran que las escriturasvédicas son inútiles. No se preocupen pensando que Yo me echaré a perder de esa manera. Puede que ustedes hayan leído las biografías de grandes personajes legendarios, y encarnaciones de Dios, y sepan de las grandes pruebas y tribulaciones que enfrentaron. Es muy natural para los mahatmas ser criticados de este modo; ¿por qué se preocupan ustedes de esas cosas? ¿Cuánto tiempo pueden los perros ladrar a las estrellas o aullar a la Luna? De la misma manera, esta publicidad adversa es también temporaria. Finalmente Sathya triunfará. Confianza en uno mismo, y actividad benéfica -- los grandes avanzan por estos caminos. En tanto estemos dedicados a promover el bienestar de los devotos y a asignarles los frutos de sus acciones, ¿por qué deberíamos preocuparnos? A fin de cuentas; todos los gustos y disgustos humanos corresponden sólo al cuerpo físico, no al atma. Para Mí, nombre, fama, mala fama, bien y mal -- son todos iguales. No tengo nada que ver con ellos. Todos Mis actos y palabras son en pro de que la gente comprenda. Aparte de esto, no tengo nada que ver con el mundo. No tengo nombre, ni nada que pueda llamarse "mío". Respondo a cualquier nombre por el que la gente Me llame. Voy a cualquier parte adonde me lleven. Este es Mi primer "voto". Estoy diciendo esto por primera vez. Todo lo que hago es por el mundo y por la gente. Cualquier cantidad de esfuerzo por parte de cualquiera, no le servirá para conocerme. No piensen, ni siquiera en sueños, que alguien pueda hacerme daño alguno, en ningún momento. Es imposible. Nadie puede entender Mi poder. Consideré que ustedes escribieron con amor y afecto, no de otra manera. En Mi mente nada me falta, y en Mí no hay ningún engreimiento ni malicia. No tengo ninguna objeción a cualesquiera pasos que ustedes quieran dar. Ya verán por sí mismos las cosas que ocurrirán en el futuro. Las personas necesitan paz. De modo que si ustedes tienen paz, lo entenderán todo. _____________________________________________ ORIGINAL ______________________________________________ 25-5-1947 To the devotees, Dear! Received your letter. It is resounding with waves of devotion and love. It is impossible for ordinary people to understand the ways of Jnani’s (wise men), Yogis, Jogis (sanyasis) and Bhogis (wealthy), It is difficult to understand their hearts. People think of them in their own respective ways, and they talk of them accordingly. We need not worry about what others say as long as our perseverance, determination, our good behaviour and our wisdom are kept intact. ‘The tree that is full of fruits is aminable to stone hits, it is said. Similarly, wherever there is good, there will be bad; and wherever there is bad there will be good too. There is no world without this aspect. It is ignorance that throws people into the spell of krodha (burning rage), moha (lust) and mada andhakara (the darkness of arrogance). People write things about which they have no knowledge; they write out of jealousy. The wise will never speak in such manner. It is not good for us to go by the words of ignorant people. Sathya will always be victorious, untruth will never succeed. Even ifuntruth enjoys temporary success, it will evaporate with the blossoming of truth. It is not good for mahatmas (elevated souls) to be elated when they are praised and feel let down when they are criticized. Nowhere has it been prescribed as to what sort of discipline or code of conduct should mahatmas follow. More important than anything else are satpravarthana (tighteous conduct) and sadbuddhi (good intellect), Mahatmas will never feel elated when praised or shrunk when they are ignored. But there are yogis, who revel in palm-wine, opium, bhung (intoxicating drink prepared from ganja plant), and arrack. And eat meat to the full without even leaving a little space in stomach. Preaching that there is no death to jeeva. These so-called great, do slit the necks of innocent animals. Dead drunk they declare that Vedantic scriptures are useless. You need not worry that I will be spoilt in such a manner. You might also have read the life stories of great legendary characters and incarnations of God and known of the great trials and tribulations they have faced. It is quite natural for mahatmas to be criticised in this manner, why do you worry of such things? How long can dogs bark at the stars or bray at the moon? Likewise, this adverse publicity too is temporary. Sathya will win at last. Self-reliance and beneficial activity — the great ones tread upon these paths. As long as we are engaged in promoting the welfare of devotees and alloting them the fruits of their actions, why at all should we worry! In the final analysis, all human likes and dislikes pertain only to the physical body and not to the atma. For Me name, fame, defame, good and bad — all these are equal. I have nothing to do with them. All My deeds and talks are only meant for the understanding of people. Otherwise, I have nothing to do with the world. I have no name, or nothing like ‘mine’. I respond in whichever way people call Me. I shall go wherever I am taken. This is My first ‘vow’. I am telling this for the first time. All I do is for the sake of the world and the people. Any amount of endeavour by any body will not help to know Me. You do not think even in dream that anybody can do any harm to Me at any time. It is impossible. No one can understand My power. I considered that you wrote with love and affectfon, and not otherwise. In My mind 1am lacking nothing, and I have no conceit or malice whatever in Me. I have no objection to whatever steps you may take. You will see for yourself the things that are going to happen in future. People need peace. So if you have peace, you will understand everything.
